NACO and Female Funders partner to change the ratio of angel investors

Montreal, Canada - Oct 4, 2017 - National Angel Capital Organization (NACO) and Female Funders announced a partnership today at the NACO World Angel Investment Summit to increase the ratio of women angel investors globally, through community awareness, education programs and membership accreditation for angel investors.

By creating more accessible tools and resources for aspiring and experienced angel investors, the partnership will allow both organizations to help angels get access, make better investments and generate solid returns. Leveraging the synergies between well established Female Funders online training platform and NACO Academy content, the organizations will offer access to education programs and co-create new online content for angel investors globally, including remote communities.

Earlier this summer, early stage investor & startup co-creation company, Highline BETA announced the acquisition of Female Funders in a continued effort to support more women investors and entrepreneurs. The online platform features topics such as getting started as an angel investor and a curated list of angel investment resources, while providing access to deal flow and a global community of women investors and innovators. Female Funders is on a mission to empower 1,000 women to become active angel investors by 2020 through blended education (in-person & online), building a portfolio of syndicated deals and building a global community in key startup ecosystems.

“The face of angel investing is changing,” said Lauren Robinson, Executive Director of Female Funders and COO of Highline BETA. “This partnership with NACO, celebrates diversity of thought as a critical factor to producing better outcomes in early stage investing.”

“NACO is thrilled to be entering into this partnership with Female Funders as part of the Organization’s commitment to creating access and education to empower more women investors in our membership”, said Yuri Navarro, Executive Director of the National Angel Capital Organization. “We will be actively working with Female Funders to support their goal of empowering 1,000 new women angel investors by 2020.”

Under the new partnership, NACO and Female Funders will be announcing member benefits and education programs over the next few months. Female Funders will also be announcing the 2018 Angel School course next month. To receive updates about the upcoming cohort, sign up to get notified.
